He was discovered by MBA Hoops head coach Omhar Carter and is playing for his AAU basketball program. Breakfield commented on the things that Carter likes about his overall game.
"He likes how physical I am but he wants to get my handles better and my shooting better," said Breakfield, who has only been playing basketball since the 5th grade. "He wants to get my handles better right now. He's not worried about my shot."
Although just 14-years-old, Breakfield is already 6-foot-6 tall and weighs 175 pounds. Breakfield is a versatile athlete who can play three different positions.
"I can play the three, four or five (positions) but at my school I play the five because I am the tallest one," said Breakfield.
He's not your typical five due to his unique ability to shoot outside or drive inside.
"My coach really wants to get me the ball at the three-point line and isolate me and let me take my man to the goal," said Breakfield.
While it is still very early in the recruiting process for this talented member of the class of 2020, he's already attended one college basketball game this season.
"I've gone to an Ole Miss game but I really haven't gone to many games," said Breakfield. "I just wanted to see what it was like."
He came away impressed with the college basketball game atmosphere.
"It was pretty good," said Breakfield. "It's more intense than what I see when I go to high school basketball games."
He hopes to attend more college games if the opportunity presents itself.
"I will go to other college games if I get invited to them," said Breakfield.
