Duncan Has Options

Oak Grove standout wide receiver Jordan Duncan has quietly put together one of the top offer sheets in the state of Mississippi. The rising senior is receiving interest from coast to coast and has collected offers from most of the schools in the SEC Western Division.

"I have offers from Southern Miss, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, North Carolina and Louisville and a few other ones," Duncan reported. "I have been hearing a lot from Florida and Cal is talking about offering me too."

Despite several invitations to visit schools throughout the country, Duncan has not been able to travel as much as he would have hoped.

"I went to Alabama for their junior day and that's been it so far," Duncan said. "I am supposed to be going back over there to see one of their spring practices with one of my coaches in the next few weeks.

"I am planning on going to the Nike opening camp in New Orleans if my foot feels better. I had a little bit of a setback, but I am getting healthy now. I am hoping to get right and then get out there and show people what I can do."

Several schools are in regular contact with the talented slot receiver.

"I hear from most of the schools who have offered me," Duncan said. "I hear a good bit from Alabama, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Florida and just about all of them. They all pretty much stay in touch."

Duncan is still taking his time and going through the process as he works towards a decision. He is trying to keep his options open and he has not set a time frame for a decision.

For now, Oak Grove football is the main focus for one of the Magnolia State's most coveted players.

"I am just working on being that play maker for my team," Duncan said. "I just want to be able to do it all. I want to be a better route runner and be a better blocker. I pride myself on my blocking. I always look for that when I watch myself on film. I want to always see what I can do to get better at all of that, so I can help my team.

"I am working on my hand and eye coordination too. I am just trying to make myself the play maker my team needs me to be. When I am out there, I am just focused on the football. I don't even worry about the defensive back. I am just keeping my eye on the ball and doing whatever I have to do to go get it."
