"LSU, Tulsa, Lamar, Baylor, McNeese are showing interest in me," said Brooks.
And he's looking for even more recruiting attention, including from teams such as Mississippi State.
"I would like a hear from a team like Mississippi State," said Brooks.
Brooks talked about his strength on the court and things that he continues to work on.
"My strength is that I can get to the basket real well," he said. "I am working on being more consistent with my shot and working on my right hand and my handles."
He plays for one of the top AAU programs in Louisiana, the New Orleans Elite program. He believes playing for such an elite program will not only help him but his high school team as well.
"Playing for them is allowing me to play against better competition," said Brooks. "Because of that, when I go back to my high school I can bring back what I learned and use it to help my team be a better team."
