Bulldogs Even After June Camp

Mississippi State was among the first schools to offer Dothan High (AL) defensive back Tyrez Lindsey. Since that time, Lindsey has remained in contact with the Bulldog staff over the phone and in person. Lindsey visited Starkville for the second time in recent weeks on Tuesday as he took part in the first day of Mississippi State's summer camp sessions.

"It went great," Lindsey said of the camping trip to Starkville. "I had a great time and the weather wasn't bad here. It just a great camp."

The defensive backs were able to get some work in at multiple positions with both Bulldog secondary coaches Tony Hughes and Deshea Townsend.

"We all did some work at corner," Lindsey explained. "Nobody was ever just considered a safety. I got a lot of good feedback and I am going to take all of that under consideration.

"I believe I got better today, because I did what the coaches told me to do. When they said do it, I did it. I did exactly what they told me to do without saying anything back and everything they told me worked out for me. They know what they are talking about."

Lindsey will be on the road a good bit this summer. His next trip will take him away from the south and into a region of the country he is eager to see in person.

"My next camp is going to be Cincinnati," Lindsey said. "I am going up there in a few days.

"I have offers from Mississippi State, Cincinnati, Southern Miss, Mercer, Samford, Troy and one or two more. Right now Mississippi State and Cincinnati are the top ones."
