"Mississippi State had offered me and I wanted to come up here and see what all they had to offer," Meyers said. "I wanted to work with the coaches and see all of the facilities. I am about to go and see all of the campus with Coach (Greg) Knox and my family.
"I just want to look around here and see what all they have to offer here."
Meyers was able to work under the direction of Bulldog corner back coach Deshea Townsend during Tuesday's drills. The New Orleans standout reports that the experience was educational.
"This is a great camp," Meyers said. "The coaches really work you hard and they want to see you work to the best of your ability. You're going to give 100% here. They really get you to work hard."
Before heading for home, Meyers saw enough of the Mississippi State experience to consider them a real player in his college recruitment.
"I really like Mississippi State and all of the coaches," Meyers said. "There is a lot of love here from the coaches. They really treat you like family."
The Bulldogs appear to have put their best foot forward and look to be solidly in the mix as Meyers prepares for a pre-season decision.
"I want to make my decision before the season. I am thinking late August," Meyers said. "I am going to take all of my trips this summer and then think about making a decision. I am going to Ole Miss and then to Clemson and Florida State."
