Former Starkville High (MS) football coach Jamie Mitchell has taken over at North Little Rock High (AR) where Enlow enters his senior season. The talented wide out reports that the transition has been pretty smooth so far.
"I am very excited about the season," Enlow said. "Coach Mitchell and he has a lot of good ideas for the offense and the defense. The wide receiver coach told us that he gets a lot of stuff from he college coaches, so he has a college mindset. They seem to be really good coaches."
Enlow's current and former coaches would have been proud of his efforts on Wednesday as he put on a show for those who attending the second day of the Mississippi State June camp sessions.
"I have to give a lot of credit to my trainer J.J. Meadors," Enlow admitted. "He is a great trainer. He used to play for Arkansas, so he knows what it takes."
While many college prospects were recruited to come to Starkville for the chance to work the the Bulldog staff, Enlow made the decision to come on his own and show the coaches just what was capable of.
"My father wanted me to come to this camp," Enlow said. "He wanted me to go to some camps and just show out. I feel like I had a good day. I had one dropped ball in drills. I got myself together and I didn't drop another pass."
With Enlow's showing one would expect his offer sheet to flush with power five conference options, but to date his recruitment has been a little on the slow side.
"I have offers from Henderson State and Missouri State," Enlow said. "I am just trying to get to as many camps as I can to get my name out there. I am going to Kansas next. I just came from the Memphis camp and that went pretty good.
"I plan on going up to Missouri, Southeast Missouri State and ULM and then I will see what happens and what offers I have. I am not sure when I will make a decision."
