  • "I am a center/forward," said Lard. "On defense, I protect the paint and be a defensive anchor and go get every block that I can. I also try to play great help side defense. On offense, I try to finish around the rim, run the floor very well for a big man, and I am athletic. I do all the dirty work around the rim."

Playing for the New Orleans Elite AAU basketball program has helped his overall game.

"It is great playing with all of these guys and playing against great competition that is in the Adidas Uprising," said Lard.

Lard has impressed a lot of colleges, with many of them having extended offers.

"Connecticut, Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor, LSU, ULM, ULL, New Mexico, Middle Tennessee and Mississippi State have offered me," said Lard.

Although he has numerous options when it comes to choosing a college, as of now, recruiting is on the back burner for Lard.

"i am going to start looking into recruiting when my senior season starts," said the talented big man. "I have no particular school in mind. I am going to take a few visits and research the schools that I am looking at. I will go to the school where I fit in the best."
