  • "I really liked the camp," said DeLoach. "I think I did good today. I liked being able to show the coaches what I can do and how I compete in one-on-one drills while representing my city, Columbus.

    "What I learned is how to come out and compete and show my competitive spirit and play hard."

    He believes Mississippi State defensive line coach David Turner liked what he saw from his efforts during the camp.

    "He said he liked my pad level and how I carried myself during the drills," said DeLoach.

    DeLoach also liked what he saw while camping at Mississippi State. He even got to meet the head man himself, Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen.

    "I think they have a great program," said DeLoach. "They have great facilities. I got to meet Coach Mullen. I shook his hand when he came over to watch our drills."

    Mississippi State is one of several colleges showing interest in DeLoach.

    "I am being recruiting by Mississippi State, Southern Miss, Memphis and Louisiana-Lafayette," he said. "I have no offers yet."
