Tolbert explained how he wound up camping at Mississippi State.
"(Mississippi State defensive line) Coach (David) Turner is recruiting me for Mississippi State," said Tolbert. "We talked a little bit on twitter and he told me about this camp they were having. He called my parents and I told him that I would like to come to the camp."
Mississippi State quarterback coach Brian Johnson was very impressed with Tolbert's arm.
"He said that I have the best arm they have had in their camps by far," said Tolbert.
What Johnson focused on the most, though, was Tolbert's footwork.
"He was more focused on my footwork," said Tolbert. "We did drills to get me off-balanced so that I could get back on balance and throw the ball. I did pretty good in those drills."
Johnson is going to continue to recruit Tolbert.
"He said he liked me," said Tolbert. "He follows me on twitter and wants to keep talking to me."
Tolbert came away very impressed with Mississippi State. But he already knew a little about the school due to a cousin who played there.
"It is great here," said Tolbert. "I like the environment here. And my cousin, (former Mississippi State defensive end) Sean Ferguson, went here. He told me a lot about it and said it is great here."
As of now, Tolbert is not sure where else he will be camping.
"This is my first camp," said Tolbert. "I like the school and wanted to camp here. I have been invited to a lot of other camps, but I'm not sure which ones that I will go to."
Tolbert has a lot of schools to choose from. He already had four offers and interest from several others.
"I have four offers, one from Valdosta State, another one from Norfolk State in Virginia, the University of Buffalo and Florida A&M," said Tolbert. "A lot of other schools are recruiting me. Virginia Tech likes me a lot, the University of Miami, Mississippi State and a couple of other schools."
