Mason came away impressed with the type effort the coaches required at the Mississippi State camp.
"I like that they push you so you can help better yourself," said Mason. "You can take what you learn at the camp and help your team become better."
He also learned some individual drills that will make him a better player.
"I learned things about the footwork drills," said Mason. "I learned that you need to keep moving your arms which helps you get out of your break faster."
Based on what Mississippi State wide receivers coach Billy Gonzales told him, Mason felt like he did well during the camp.
"I think I did great," said Mason. "Coach Gonzales said he likes the way that I run my routes and how I did in the footwork drills."
So far, he likes what he has seen from Mississippi State.
"They are a great school," said Mason, who has also camped at Ole Miss and will attend a camp at Alabama next Saturday. "I like that they want you to work hard and never quit. I like Coach Gonzales because he pushes you a lot. I like that he talks to you like a man should talk to you."
