Gill felt like he had a good camp.
"I think I did really good and I showed them what I can do with my skills," said Gill, who had a 38" vertical leap and a 9-4 broad jump during the camp.
He learned some things from Mississippi State defensive line coach David Turner that will help him improve his overall game.
"He showed me how to have quick hands and quick feet and how to be loose with your hips," said Gill.
This was his first time to meet and work with Coach Turner. He came away impressed with what he saw from the veteran defensive coach.
"I think he is a very intense guy who makes sure you get everything right," said Gill.
He also came away impressed with everything that he saw while camping at Mississippi State.
"I like what I have seen today," said Gill. "The facilities are amazing. It is a good place that I could consider being home. I like the environment here. I have family south of here in Hattiesburg."
As of now, Mississippi State is one of nine colleges recruiting the talented defensive end/outside linebacker.
"I am being recruited by Syracuse, Duke, Mississippi State, Georgia State, Cincinnati, Richmond, Miami (OH), Ole Dominion and Middle Tennessee," said Gill. "I don't have any offers yet but I think all of those schools have a lot of interest in me."
