"It was a good camp, really teach fundamentals well in drills," said Cook. "I liked that. I really liked (Mississippi State defensive line) Coach (David) Turner. He's straight to the point, he's intense."
One of the things he really enjoyed about the camp is that there weren't a lot of other defensive linemen in attendance. That allowed for a lot more individual reps.
"I did a lot of reps," said Cook. "I could have done better on most of them. I thought a little too much about what I was doing. I tried to go inside more than outside and didn't get to the spot as much as I needed to."
The camp wasn't the first time Cook had been on the Mississippi State campus.
"I came to Mississippi State's one day camp last year and did pretty well," said Cook. "I came here on a visit in March and they showed me around."
He has formed a very positive opinion of Mississippi State thanks to the two camps he has participated in and the unofficial visit in March.
"I love this school," said Cook. "I love the environment, love the town it is in. When I come here they welcome you so much. I really liked the facilities. I like how they do their practices."
Cook has been to several camps in addition to MSU's. And he has plans on attending quite a few more during the summer months.
"I have gone to Memphis and Samford camps, and I have done a Louisiana-Lafayette camp," said Cook. "I had a really good camp there. I am doing a Southern Miss camp, another Memphis camp. I think I am doing another Mississippi State camp, a Jacksonville State camp, and maybe squeeze in a few others, something like Louisiana-Monroe and Troy."
Cook already has two offers and interest from several other colleges.
"I have an offer from Memphis and Western Kentucky," said Cook. "Memphis is for both sides of the ball. I have interest from Southern Miss, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, Furman, Georgia State, Georgia Southern, Murray State and Troy. And I believe Mississippi State is showing interest. "
