"I thought things went good considering this as just my second time playing linebacker," Wansley said. "I think it all went pretty good. I kind of like playing outside linebacker. I just need to get a feel for everything and get used to it."
Wansley worked with Mississippi State defensive coordinator Manny Diaz during the day's drills and it appears that the pair has the makings of a great working relationship.
"Coach Diaz has already taught me a lot of things that I needed to learn," Wansley said. "He seems like a good coach and you can tell he knows what he is talking about."
Wansley recently picked up an offer from Memphis and there is talk with the home state Bulldogs may follow suit soon.
"I haven't really talked to Mississippi State about that yet, but they are supposed to let me know something after they have a meeting," Wansley said. "I feel like I did pretty good today and that's what I wanted to do."
Wansley reports that he has found a lot of things to like about the Bulldogs. Should Mississippi State extend a scholarship offer, Wansley's college recruitment may be over.
"I am looking into engineering or maybe being an architect and I just want to play football," Wansley said. "I like it up here. If they offered me, I would probably go here. It's a great school and I like the coaches."
