"I thought the camp today was great," said Moon. " I learned a lot of things. What we did today helped me get a lot better. (Mississippi State linebackers) Coach (Manny) Diaz makes everything simple and clear. He talked to us about running to the ball, getting to the sideline, did a great job taking about flipping my hips, teaching all the little things."
He came away impressed with Coach Diaz.
"I think he is a great guy," said Moon. "He is a people person who welcomes you with open arms. He was one of the coaches who came to my spring game to watch me. I am grateful for that. He is just a great guy."
Camp-wise, Mississippi State was the 4-star linebacker's second camp of the summer. He has more to come.
"This is my second camp," said Moon. "I have also gone to Alabama. Tomorrow, I will be in South Carolina. I am supposed to be going to Florida to work with Coach (Geoff) Collins next week."
He explained why he attends the college camps.
"To me, going to the camps is definitely to be evaluated but also to learn more things that maybe I didn't know that will allow me to become a better football player," said Moon.
