  • Long learned some things that he feels will help him improve his overall game.

"I learned to keep my feet moving and to take the outside shoulder with the lineman," said Long. "I also learned to go hard all of the time. All of that should help me win my battles against the offensive linemen."

Long enjoyed being coach by Mississippi State defensive line coach David Turner.

"He is a pretty good coach," said Long. "I like him a lot. He knows what he is talking about. He knows when to be serious and when to joke around."

Long has camped at four college camps with two more coming up.

"I have been to camps at Ole Miss, Memphis, Troy, Mississippi State and I am going to South Alabama Monday and Southern Miss Friday," he said.

He is receiving the most recruiting interest from three schools.

"Ole Miss and (Mississippi) State are showing a lot of interest in me," said Long. "And Memphis is also showing interest."
