"I ran a lot of good drills with (Mississippi State wide receivers) Coach (Billy) Gonzales that I really wasn't used to, especially the cutting routes," said Veasy. "That really helped me with my agility for me being so tall. I was really happy with my breakdowns and things like that. Overall, it was a good camp that allowed me to get some exposure."
The camp was the first time to work with Gonzales. He was impressed with what he saw.
"He is a very smart guy who is a master at his craft," said Veasy. "He is a professional who I know can get me better in a lot of different ways."
He also came away impressed with the Mississippi State football program.
"It is a great school with good facilities, a really big place where you can really get better and really thrive," said Veasy.
As of now, Veasy has four and, hopefully, five colleges recruiting him.
"Right now, I am being targeted by Troy, Tennessee State, Chattanooga, JSU and, hopefully, Mississippi State after today," said Veasy.
Although he has no offers at the moment, he is optimistic one will be forthcoming soon.
"I am looking forward to an offer from Troy," said Veasy, who will graduate in December. "They said might give me one on June 15th, so I'm looking forward to that call."
