  • How did your visit come about?
"Coach George Brooks has been recruiting me really hard. He has been calling me. And I call him when he can't call me. He has always wanted me to come down and visit. I have never been to Mississippi State before. Yesterday was the day that I visited. It was the best day for us because my mom and dad could come too."

    How was the visit?
"It was good. I met Coach (Ben) Howland for the first time. I toured the campus and it was a really nice campus. I watched the team practice. It was really, really fun."

What did your parents think about the visit?
"My mom and dad both thought it was really good. We got to meet with the academic person and they were really excited about that because they know that I will be taken care of after basketball is over. They like that they will be watching over me for academics. And they just loved the setting of the whole campus."

Did you know anything about Coach Howland going into the visit?
"I knew that he had coached Kevin Love and Russell Westbrook at UCLA. He also told me that he had coached Darren Collison, Jure Holliday and Trevor Ariza and some other people too."

What are your thoughts about Coach Howland knowing that he has coached so many players that have or still do play in the NBA?
"It lets me know that he is the type coach that can develop you, get me better and help get me to the level where I can reach my full potential and be the best player that I can be."

You mentioned George Brooks has been recruiting you hard. What are your thoughts about Coach Brooks?
"His son Garrison is on my AAU team. Garrison and I are really close. Coach George is really cool, really funny. He is a really good guy. When he talks to me he is real. Everything that he says to me I know will be true. I know that I can trust him."

Now that you have visited Mississippi State and met the coaches what are your thoughts about Mississippi State recruiting-wise?
"I had never been there before but I know that it is a really great school. And it was much better than I thought that it would be."

What schools are showing interest in you?
"Mississippi State, Alabama, Vandy, Auburn, Georgia, Arkansas, LSU, Ole Miss, Florida ... all the SEC schools are recruiting me except for Kentucky and Tennessee."

    What schools have offered you?
"Alabama, Auburn, Vandy, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Florida, Murray State, UAB, Texas Tech, Georgia and Wake Forest. Wake Forest offered me yesterday."
