Big Dawg: Javious Bardney

Javious Bardney was one of the first players in the state of Mississippi to earn an offer from Mississippi State for the 2016 signing class. The Callaway High School product has elected to take his time and consider his options rather than making a quick decision. Bardney's deliberations continue and this weekend the three star guard spent some time on the Mississippi State campus.

"Camp was great," Bardney said. "I loved the atmosphere. There was a lot of enthusiasm out here. There were a lot of great players out here to compete against."

A star studded group of players were part of the Friday Night event. Close to 175 college football hopefuls were in attendance in hopes of catching the eye of the Mississippi State football staff. Bardney reports that he saw some familiar faces line up across from him in the one-on-one drills.

"I knew a lot of the guys like Kobe Jones and Jeffrey Simmons," Bardney said. "I worked with Coach (John) Hevesy. He told me that I did good and that I had good techniques. He said that he liked me on the inside."

The Bulldogs are still in the process of finalizing their class and Mississippi State is expected to add some players on the offensive line. Bardney reports that the Bulldogs remain in contention for his signing day signature.

"I am still open right now, but I am looking at Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Alabama, Southern Miss, Troy and ULL," Bardney said. "I am not sure when I am going to make a decision, but I know it's going to be close to signing day."
