Big Dawg: Allen Fails

Junior college football players can now attend college camps at four year schools due to a recent change in NCAA rules. East Central CC linebacker Allen Fails is taking advantage of his invitations and has attended a pair of camps at Mississippi State. This past weekend, Fails looked to impress Bulldog linebacker coach Manny Diaz in hopes of earning an offer from Mississippi State.

"It's all great and it's all positive things with Mississippi State," Fails said. "They like what I am doing and they like what they see. Hopefully, this will be my home some day."

While the Bulldogs have not offered yet, Fails reports that the Bulldogs have let him know that he remains in their considerations.

"They are telling me that they just need to get some film," Fails said. "Once they get some film from the season, then they can continue to evaluate me. They like what they've seen so far, so hopefully things work out."

The Hattiesburg, Mississippi native reports that he thinks a lot of Bulldog backer boss Manny Diaz. The two have had a pair of chances to work together and get a feel of how things could go should Fails get an offer to join the Bulldog defense.

"I love his intensity and I love how aggressive he is," Fails said. "We have to have all of that at linebacker and I just love how Coach Diaz coaches. You can tell he knows what he is doing."
