A half-hour before the gates open and long lines are already arrived outside Davis Wade Stadium

It was a half-hour until the gates opened. Yet enough proud cowbell clangers were congregated outside Davis Wade Stadium for the Guinness Record folk to go ahead and grant Mississippi State the record for ringing 'em.

The waiting line at 7:00 already stretched from Gate F on the northwest corner, down the length of the west grandstand to the southwest corner...and on into the street beyond.

A couple-hundred 'proctors' contracted just for this event were already inside the stadium, ready to do their calculated duty and get an official count to go into the next Guinness Book edition.
