Will one team having played and the other not make a week-two edge?

Nobody will really know until everyone lines up, the whistle sounds, and bodies start bashing. Hopefully after Mississippi State and Louisiana State settle it on the field the topic can be put to rest.

Wait, rest is the point for one team. #14 LSU had their opening night blown away by weather in the first quarter. Meanwhile two hours away #25 Mississippi State was playing a whole unhindered game. If the 34-16 victory at Southern Mississippi wasn’t a thing of beauty, it did give the Bulldogs and their coaches a better feel for the squad.

But whether or not resting or testing is better…check back before midnight Saturday to find out.

Or, not.
