"It was great," said Woodard, about his visit to State. "The team was very nice and cool. Playing with them was very cool. It was great being able to work with such a great group of guys. It was a great experience to see how the flow of the college game goes."
While playing with them, he learned two very important things about the college game.
"I learned that the speed of the college game is a lot quicker and the players are a whole lot stronger," said Woodard.
One player that stood out was senior Craig Sword.
"Craig Sword really impressed me," said Woodard. "He is really developing a jump shot and is very explosive."
He had a chance to interact with the Bulldog coaches during his time on campus.
"I talked to the coaches prior to when we scrimmaged," said Woodard. "I talked to everybody, really, but mainly to (assistant) Coach (George) Brooks and (head) Coach (Ben) Howland."
Coach Howland pointed out to Woodard the things that he likes about his game.
"He likes my versatility and how I shoot," said Woodard. "He likes how I hold my form on my shot, things like that. I really think he likes every part of my game."
The players and coaches weren't the only ones that left an impression on him. He was also very impressed with the fan support that he saw at the LSU-MSU football game.
"I have been coming (to Mississippi State football games) for the past four or five years, and the crowd is always there for the games," said Woodard. "They are very supportive. And the atmosphere is like no other. It is a great, mind-blowing experience."
As of now, it appears Mississippi State is the only college that he will be visiting during the football season.
"I don't have any other visits planned that I know of," said Woodard.
Woodard has had offers from Mississippi State and Tennessee for awhile. He recently added two more.
"I also now have offers from Baylor and Middle Tennessee State," he said.
Several other schools are showing interest in him as well.
"Iowa State has called a couple of times, Alabama and a few others," said Woodard.
