"I loved the visit," said Tate. "It was a great atmosphere the entire time that I was there. The tailgating experience was something new to me and I enjoyed every bit of it. I enjoyed meeting other recruits both for the 2016 and the 2017 classes. It was just a great time to spend with the coaches and the players. It was just a great day all around."
Tate was invited to the game after taking another unofficial visit to Mississippi State in early September.
"When I visited Mississippi State September the 8th they invited me to come back for the visit Saturday," she said. "I went on that unofficial visit to see how their academics are. I wanted to come back because I knew it was going to be a great game against a big SEC school and their first home game. I was excited to be there."
She came away very impressed with the support the fans showed the team throughout the football game.
"Hearing that many cowbells in one stadium was amazing," said Tate. "And seeing the fan support at the game means a lot to me. It shows that the students will support all of the sports on campus with the same amount of support. It really means a lot to me that they care about the athletes on their campus."
In addition to watching the game, she was able to spend a lot of time with the Mississippi State players and coaches.
"I really felt the chemistry and the bond that they have," said Tate. "I love how the coaches care for each player. I love how close they are and the family atmosphere that I feel every time I am on the campus of Mississippi State. I can tell that they are really family. That is really important."
She is very impressed with the coaches including head coach Vic Schaefer and the assistant coaches recruiting her, Elena Lovato and Johnnie Harris.
"I feel like (Coach Schaefer) is a great person, a genuine guy," she said. "I really like him. And I really believe in what he has set for his team and what they can do in the future. In the next few years I believe that he will accomplish what his goals are which is to win a national championship.
"Coach Lovato and Coach Harris are the coaches that are mainly recruiting me and the coaches that I talk to a lot. They are great people. I love the great, positive energy that I feel each time that I am around them."
Mississippi State is just one of numerous schools recruiting the talented guard.
"I have offers from Louisiana Tech, Wichita State, Liberty, Brown, Princeton, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Memphis, Texas State, Cal State Bakersfield, California Golden Bears, Arizona, Florida International University, USM, Jackson State and Mississippi State," said Tate, who also has other schools such as Georgia, Georgia Tech, Rutgers, Penn, Auburn and Florida State recruiting her.
Tate plans on narrowing her list of schools down in early October.
"I am still looking at all of the schools now but after the September recruiting period is over I plan on narrowing it down to a top 12," she said.
