Mississippi State is the latest school to reach out to rising senior wide out.

Reginald Todd elected to commit to New Mexico State basketball shortly before his senior year began. Now with major football programs lurking, things may be changing for Todd. The 6-5 wide receiver is making the most of the season after having to sit out all of last year due to a transfer for. The time off may have hurt Todd's recruitment, but he is working hard to make up for the lost time.

"I am playing pretty good right now," Todd said. "We just have to keep working hard and stay focused. We are having a good season. We have two games left in the regular season and then we will see what happens after that.

"I feel like we can do some big things if everybody keeps working hard."

Before this senior season began, Todd elected to verbal commit to New Mexico State, but more college offers have materialized since that time. Prior to his pledge to the Aggies, Todd has several basketball options.

The high flying wide out is now picking up offers from football programs.

"I have offers from Arkansas State and Southern Miss," Todd said. "Auburn, Mississippi State and NC State have been showing me some interest lately.

"I talked with Mississippi State last week and they told me that they are going to be getting to know me a lot more. They want me to come to game up there and meet all of the coaches and see the campus."

Todd has had some invitations to visit a handful of college game days, but so far he has not accepted any of them. While Todd is committed to one college program, his recruitment may not be completely over.

"I wanted to commit, so I could just focus on my senior year," Todd said of the summer pledge. "I am willing to play basketball or football to be honest. I love them both. I am just looking at all of my options right now.

"I may be getting some other offers, so  don't know what I am going to do for sure right now.  I am just going to wait it out."

Todd has been compared to some of the greats in the game due to his ability to elevate, but the soft spoken senior downplays all of that talk.

"I am just working to get better every day," Todd said. "I just want to help my team and help us win games on the field and on the court."
