Mississippi State safety Kivon Coman talks about his team's loss to Alabama.

Big plays were the order of the day for Alabama as the Tide used a quartet of long distance strikes to defeat Mississippi State 31-6. While the Bulldog defensive unit stymied the Crimson Tide most of the first half, a punt return followed up by a long catch and run gave Nick Saban's team all of the offense it would need to earn the victory. Bulldog safety Kivon Coman was again one of the leading tacklers for Manny Diaz' defense. Coman shared his thoughts with the media following the game.

How do you feel the defense played tonight?
"Overall, we played alright. We didn't play our best. Eleven people went to the ball. We learned a lot tonight. We just have to go forward. We have a big week coming up. We have to get prepared for Arkansas."

How do you prepare for Arkansas. Can you take some positive things from this game? How do you look at this game tape?
"We look at it as a positive. We know what we did before we even watch the film. We just have to come in again, get onboard and prepare."

Henry is a fast runner. Does he get faster as he is running?
"We just took bad angles on him. If you take bad angles with a good running back like him he is going to beat you every time."

Early on, you played good on third down. Then they had a couple of long runs on third down. What were you guys doing early on that was giving them trouble?
"We were disguising some things that they hadn't seen before. They adjusted to it and executed their offense."

How do you put this one behind and get ready for Arkansas next week?
"It is another game. Playing in the SEC you have to be ready every week. Next week we have a big game ahead of us. Arkansas' record might show that they have a losing record but they are pretty good. So we have to put this game behind us and move forward."

How big, as a downer, were the long plays that Alabama made during the game?
"That was huge. We usually don't give up big plays like that. Big plays are going to hurt you. If we had eliminated the big plays and cause turnovers, then the game would have been different."

How difficult is it to tackle a big back like Henry down after down?
"You have to use your technique. You can't get tired. You have to do it play after play. You can't get tired of it."
