Olive Branch High School class of 2017 point guard Myah Taylor has enhanced her game this season.

Olive Branch (MS) High School class of 2017 point guard Myah Taylor has been very impressive during the early portion of the 2015-2016 season.

During her team's first nine games, Taylor has averaged 25 points, 7.9 assists and 6.1 steals per game. She explained part of the reason she has increased her scoring output per game by seven points this season.

"I wanted to get stronger and by me getting stronger, it has made my jump shot more consistent," said Taylor. "I have also been able to take contact better and finish at the basket."

With a most consistent jump shot, her overall offensive game has expanded.

"With my shot being so efficient I think I am harder to guard because you don't know whether I am going to drive to the basket or shoot from outside," said Taylor.

Taylor has also improved her passing this season.

"I have added a little bit of trick passes to my game, like a behind the back pass," said Taylor. "And I'm all about assists. As soon as I see something open I am going to pass it, try to get it to the gap."

Her Olive Branch team, 9-0 for the season, is currently ranked 15th in the nation by MaxPreps, a fact that Taylor is very proud of.
