Against Center Hill (MS) High School last Friday night Jeffries played small forward, then took over at the point when needed. And he played it well.
"I play point guard sometimes; it depends on the game," said Jeffries, who plays the two for his AAU team Team Thad. "I feel comfortable doing it because I have been doing it for awhile. And my IQ for the game has gotten better."
Jeffries is a talented player who brings a lot to the table.
"I think I can do a lot as a basketball player," said Jeffries. "I can pass, shoot, rebound, do pretty much anything that they need me to do."
Three college coaches have seen enough from him to offer a scholarship. And several other schools are recruiting him.
"I have offers from Southeast Missouri, Memphis and Ole Miss," said Jeffries. "Others that are recruiting me are Missouri, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama. That is pretty much all that I know of right now."
Although he can play several positions on the high school level, he expects to play small forward on the collegiate level.
"The colleges that are recruiting me see me as a three on the college level," said Jeffries. "And I am comfortable playing the three."
