"I have attended camps at Mississippi State when I was 8-years-old, when they had father-son camps but this is my first real Mississippi State camp where I can showcase my abilities," said Dunhurst. "I learned a lot. There is always something new to learn. And I love learning new stuff that will help my game get better."
Dunhurst plays for the one of the top travel team programs in the nation, East Coast Baseball. But with EC Baseball it is not just about becoming a great baseball player.
"I like my coach, Chris Snopek, because he is such a good christian example," said Dunhurst. "He gives us so much knowledge that helps us improve our game but it is not just about baseball. It is more than just about baseball. We are all like a family on our team. We all just love each other."
One of the top 20 players in the class of 2019, Dunhurst already has serious interest from two in-state schools.
"Some schools have shown interest but it mainly is (Mississippi) State and Ole Miss," said Dunhurst.
He likes both schools but one appears to have a slight edge over the other one at this point in his recruitment.
"I like the coaches better at State because I feel like they are better christian examples," said Dunhurst. "What I like about Ole Miss is it is a big-time university and one of the best programs in the nation, just like State."
