Datcher only played about half of last season prior to suffering a knee injury. He didn't play AAU ball due to the injury. He came back this year fully recovered and averaged almost 18 points, 14 rebounds and 3 block shots per game. Prior to his injury, he had recruiting interest from Mississippi State, Alabama, UAB, Georgia and Tennessee. This season, with his knee recovered, Mississippi State and Alabama came back in recruiting him heavily again. MSU offered first and he took the offer Sunday night. He and his family visited MSU this past weekend for the South Carolina game. He also had offers from UAB, South Alabama, Troy, Tennessee State and Chattanooga.null
