Mississippi State takes their first series win over LSU since 2006 thanks in part to a big blast from Jack Kruger.

For the second straight night, Mississippi State has scored first against LSU by virtue of the home run. Hitting in the two spot today, designated hitter Jack Kruger launched Alec Lange belt high fast ball into the far reaches of the left field Alex Box bleachers. That Bulldogs made that margin stand up for most of the game and went on to 2-1 win clinching another SEC road series against a top ten opponent.

Jack Kruger met with the media following the game and shared his thoughts on his round tripper, another SEC series win and his outlook on the season. Kruger was the big hitter in the non-conference line-up. Now that the heart of the SEC schedule is here, Kruger appears to be finding his early season form.
