Deljuan (6-4, 265, 4.8), one of the top players in Mississippi and also the nation, has earned pre-season honors from SuperPrep (Pre-Season All-American team) and Tom Lemming's Summer Prep Football Report (one of only 4 Mississippi players to earn a 5 star ranking) as well as being selected to The Clarion-Ledger's Dandy Dozen team.
Deljuan told me that he has received numerous September phone calls from college coaches throughout the nation including, "Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Auburn, LSU, USC (Southern Cal), North Carolina State," just to name a few.
When asked if he was leaning to any school or schools, he said, "I am a slight lean to State", but he emphasized that, "I am still wide open." He said Ole Miss and Auburn are two other schools that he will also look at because they are close to his home. Southern Mississippi is another school he mentioned as one that he is interested in.
He also told me that a major factor in his decision will be the closeness of the school to his home. "I like the schools close to home. I am really going to check those out," said Robinson.
He has already begun that process by attending several college football games this season. He told me that he has "attended the Ole Miss - Murray State game and the the Memphis - Chattanooga game."
Although he has not attended a Mississippi State game this year, he did attend the Mississippi State football camp this past summer.
Deljuan, who has made 14 tackles in his team's first two game, and his teammates will be playing Humphrey's County tonight. Check him out if you have a chance.
