Mississippi State takes another step towards an historic SEC turnaround from worst to possible first.

Mississippi State got a solid outing from stater Austin Sexton and a two inning save from closer Reid Humphreys to advance their record to 39-14-1 over all and 20-9 in the SEC. The Bulldogs have a chance to win the program's 11th SEC title on Saturday with a win to complete the sweep over Arkansas. With a little help, the Diamond Dogs could be the first SEC team to win an overall conference title one year removed from a last place finish.
