Class of 2017 wide receiver Dai'Jean Dixon camps at Mississippi State

Class of 2017 wide receiver Dai'Jean Dixon camped at Mississippi State Saturday. He talked about his experience at the camp.

He explained why he decided to camp at Mississippi State.

"I came to the camp because, first off, I am interested in Mississippi State," said Dixon, who measured in at 6-foot-2.25 and 199 pounds. "Plus, this is only my second year of playing high school football and I need to get my name out there."

Being new to football, he felt like the camp was very beneficial to him.

"I learned a lot, not just about routes and things like that, I learned that they also look at your body language and your character," said Dixon, who has been clocked as fast as 4.35 in the forty.

He came away very impressed with Mississippi State.

"I also visited Mississippi State for Junior Day," said Dixon. "I like the campus, the coaching staff. (Wide Receivers) Coach (Billy) Gonzales is a really nice coach. I love him. I like everything about Mississippi State."

Mississippi State is one of several camps that he will be attending this summer.

"I am also going to a camps at Troy, Florida and Florida State," said Dixon.

Several schools are recruiting the talented receiver.

"UL-L, La Tech, Mississippi State, LSU, Troy, Memphis and Jackson State are showing interest in me," said Dixon.
