He explained why he decided to camp at Mississippi State.
"I came to the Mississippi State camp because I wanted to get some work with (defensive line) Coach (Brian) Baker and (linebackers) Coach (Peter) Sirmon," said Marria, who is being recruited as either a defensive end, outsider linebacker or tight end. "I loved working with them. They have good energy and I like the way they coach. I feel like they get you better every time they coach you."
He gave his thoughts about Mississippi State.
"I love it," said Marria. "It is probably one of the best schools that I have been to. It is a real good environment, real good coaches, it is like a family, it is like home."
Mississippi State is one of several colleges that have extended offers to the talented athlete.
"I have twelve offers, Mississippi State, Georgia Southern, UAB, Tulane, Eastern Kentucky, Appalachian State, Jacksonville State, Kent State, Miami of Ohio," said Marria. "I also have interest from Georgia and Arkansas."
Marria has had a busy June camp schedule.
"I have gone to a couple of satellite camps, and Mississippi State's camp," he said. "And I am going to the Georgia camp and another satellite camp. I don't plan on going to any more school camps the rest of the summer, at least not yet."
