He attended the camp with the hope that an offer would be extended.
"I have been talking to (Mississippi State recruiting) Coach (Brian) Baker and he told me come up and I would have a chance to earn a (scholarship) offer," said Walker. "I hope they decide to offer."
He enjoyed the camp experience.
"It was good," said Walker. "I was focused on making a good impression on the running backs coach (Greg Knox)."
Knox also made a good impression on the talented running back.
"I like him," said Walker. "He has a lot of energy. I feel like he would get me going if I was playing for him. I like that about him a lot."
He also came away impressed with Mississippi State in general.
"I love it," said Walker. "I love the indoor facility. I want to see the stadium and locker room. Everything that I have seen is nice."
In addition to interest from Mississippi State, Walker also has several scholarship offers.
"I have nine offers, Purdue, Tulane, Georgia State, Georgia Southern, Appalachian State, Eastern Kentucky, Southern Miss, South Alabama," said Walker.
Walker has taken full advantage of the latest college camps in the south, the college satellite camps. He may also attend some individual college camps.
"I have been to a lot of satellite camps in Georgia where all the (college coaches) come," he said. "I saw Mississippi State at one the other day. I have mainly been going to those. If bigger schools invite me to their camps and act like they are interested in me and that I could possibly earn an offer then I would probably go to theirs."
