Kruger, Rooker Still Booked for Summer Ball after Draft Calls

A total of 22 Diamond Dogs have found their summer spots to play ball. And since half of them are headed there, maybe the Cape Cod League can be called Dudy Noble Field-North for a couple of months?

What really stands out in this following list is not the number or the assignments. It is that a couple of Mississippi State players who were called in last weekend’s Major League Draft are still booked to play summer baseball as amateurs, a good sign of intention to return for the 2017 season.

C/DH Jack Kruger will play his summer ball in his home state, at Coejo in the California League. And OF/DH Brent Rooker will be in the Cape, at Brewster.
