Bulldogs Head to Strange Territory for First-Ever Meeting with UMass

It’s foreign football territory for Bulldogs, but not for their coach. Dan Mullen, native New Englander, takes his Mississippi State team to the Northeast for a matchup with Massachusetts.

The teams will meet in Foxboro’s Gillette Stadium, home field for the New England Patriots, with a 3:30 local kickoff. ESPN3 and Atlantic Sports Network are airing the game, which will be picked up by a list of local affiliates which will be released Tuesday.

Mullen talked Monday about the pending game with one of the four FBS independents, as well as State’s three-point loss at LSU.
