Barber's offers have come from programs throughout the nation.
"Baylor, Ole Miss, (Mississippi) State, LSU, Ohio State, UAB, Georgia Tech, Tennessee-Martin and UNLV have offered me," said Barber.
And more offers could be forthcoming in the near future based on the teams that have come in to watch him practice recently.
"Cal came in and watched me practice and Wichita State has also come in," said Barber. "I think Mississippi State is coming in this week and Ole Miss has been in. UAB was in this week, too. Baylor is also showing a lot of interest."
As of now, he doesn't have any favorites among the schools showing interest in him.
"I plan on narrowing my list down around the end of the season, then, at the end of July, I may make a decision," said Barber.
Although he has a lot of recruiting interest, Barber is not content with where he is as a player.
"I am working on my ball-handling and I'm trying to be more versatile," said Barber. "I'm also trying to be stronger down in the post and be able to take on smaller or bigger defenders."
He does feel like a couple of aspects of his game have definitely improved since last season.
"I think I have gotten better at finishing around the rim and I feel like my shooting has gotten a lot better," said Barber.
