Class of 2017 forward KeyShawn Feazell commits to Mississippi State

Lawrence County (MS) High School class of 2017 3-star forward KeyShawn Feazell has committed to Mississippi State.

Feazell, one of the top players in the class of 2017 in the southeast, announced his commitment to Mississippi State on twitter Thursday night.

"I'm decommitting from Iowa State and will be signing with Mississippi State on November 9th, 2016."

In a text to me, he explained why he felt Mississippi State was the best place for him.

"I think playing under Coach Howland and with the group of guys there is going to be great in many different ways. I also feel more comfortable at State. It is nothing against Iowa State at all, just doing what is best for me."

Feazell had previously committed to Iowa State on August 24th.

The 6-8, 225-pound power forward also had offers from Alabama, Baylor and Pittsburgh.

Feazell joins another Mississippian, 5-star point guard Nik Weatherspoon, in the Mississippi State 2017 recruiting class.
