South Broward High School offensive tackle Jordon Carty is down to two SEC programs.

South Broward (FL) offensive tackle Jordon Carty is set to take his final official visit this weekend when he takes a trip to Columbia, South Carolina. The trip to see the Gamecocks will be the second all expense paid excursion for Carty who visited Mississippi State two weeks ago. With less than a week to National Signing Day, Carty reports he is still in fact finding mode.

"I am going to visit South Carolina this weekend. I didn't visit anywhere last weekend," Jordon Carty. "I visited Mississippi State and now I am going to South Carolina to see everything again. After that, I will have to make a decision. We only have about one week left."

Carty reports that the Bulldogs and Gamecocks are still neck and neck despite some reports suggesting South Carolina is the leader heading into the final weekend before National Signing Day.

"Both of them are still pretty much even," Carty said. "I don't have a top school yet. I need to take this visit and then I will talk about everything with my family."

Not quite ready to tip his hand, Carty reports that he sees a lot of the same qualities in both Mississippi State and South Carolina.

"I like the coaches and all of the facilities at both schools," Carty said. "I like them both and I am not quite sure how I am going to decide. I really like Coach John (Hevesy) from Mississippi State and Coach (Eric) Wolford is a good man too. I think both of them are good coaches and I like them both.

"Both of them are good schools and both of them have good people there. It is going to be tough to make a decision."

With the clock ticking, Carty is going to lean on his family as he considers his college future as well as his strong feelings about each of his finalists.

"I am going to talk everything every with my family next week before I make my decision," Carty shared. "I just don't know right now. I like them both. This will be the second time I have visited South Carolina, so I feel like I will know what to do after that. I have two very good schools to choose from."

Carty is rated a three star offensive tackle and is ranked as the 8th best edge protector in the entire state of Florida. The 6-7, 280 pounder plans to announce his college decision on signing day. Mississippi State and South Carolina are considered the favorites over options from Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, NC State, Oregon State and many others.
