GPTV: New Dog Coordinator Meets Media

The doing isn’t easy. The idea is simple. “Defense is team defense,” according to Todd Grantham.

Mississippi State’s new defensive coordinator met with media Wednesday to talk, well, just about everything. From his over-arching approach to defense, what made Dan Mullen’s program an attractive opportunity, the legacy of Bulldog defenders past and present, even some technical aspects; there wasn’t much ground Grantham missed.

Grantham is one of four staff changes Mullen has made for 2017. Since picking the new coordinator/linebackers coach, he has been able to add Ron English for safeties; Brett Elliott for quarterbacks, and D.J. Looney for tight ends.

English also appeared at the podium today. Next week should provide talks with the offensive additions.

Mississippi State’s spring practice opens March 2.
