"I redshirted last year, then I played summer ball and did great," said Poole, who hit .333 with 7 double, 5 triples and 6 home runs while knocking in 27 runs for Waynesboro of the Valley Baseball League. "Now, I am ready to get out on the field and show them what I can do."
He expects to compete for the left field starting role.
"I will play left field and they have told me that I will play a big role," said Poole.
He commented on what he hopes to bring to the team this season.
"There will not be a ball that will touch the ground in the outfield, I also steal bases, and I am going to hit," said Poole.
He gives new coach Andy Cannizaro credit for the positive attitude of this year's team.
"He is amazing," said Poole. "Even when you make an out he gives you positive feedback. He is just a positive guy. I love him to death."
