Dr. Charles Lee
Interim President
Mississippi State University
610 Allen Hall, Creelman Street
Mississippi State, Mississippi 39762-6018

Dear Dr. Lee:

This is in reference to my previous correspondence concerning the NCAA's preliminary inquiry into the athletic policies and practices of the institution's football program.

As you know, the review of information in this case is continuing. Members of the enforcement staff are making every effort to complete the ncessary interviews to ensure that full information is developed.

As indicated in my March 6, 2003, letter, if the institution currently (or at any time during the processing of this case) is subject to an athletics certification process per NCAA Bylaw 22, it is requested that the institution notify the NCAA Committee on Athletics Certification through Keith Gill, NCAA director of membership services, of this letter.

Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated.

Sincerely,

David Price
Vice-President for Enforcement Services
