High School - Selected for the Perfect Game All-American Classic. 2017 Rawlings-Perfect Game Preseason All-American 1st Team honors. Also a 2016 Perfect Game Underclass 3rd Team All-American. Perfect Game rates him a 10. Rated by Perfect Game as one of their top 100 class of 2017 high school players.

2017 Season - Due to an injury, Anderson only played half of the season. In limited action, he still hit .412 with 20 stolen bases.

Recruiting - A very highly recruited youngster, he chose Mississippi State over Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Alabama and Vanderbilt.

2017 MLB Draft - Anderson has a very athletic 6-2, 196-pound body. He has several plus tools, including hitting for average, speed (6.25 sixty yard dash), arm (92 mph off the mound) and fielding. Numerous Major League Baseball teams have been into his home for in-home visits this spring. As of now, he is projected to go anywhere from the 2nd round to the 4th round in the 2017 MLB Draft. He is an excellent student with a 3.75 GPA and a 22 ACT.

MSU 2018 Season - If Anderson lands on campus next fall he is a guy who could play any of the outfield positions. He could easily play left field but he also has the speed to play centerfield and the arm to play right. He has a top of the order bat, although he also has enough pop in his bat to hit in the three-hole.
