Burnett describes his game.

"I am a good shooter, a good playmaker," said Burnett. "I am good at shooting outside and driving to the basket but I am best at shooting outside."

His head basketball coach, James Jackson, raves about how good Burnett is.

"He brings being an athlete to the game," said Jackson. "He can use both of his hands pretty much the same. He also shoots the ball really well for us."

Burnett is also an excellent football player who has several SEC offers, despite only being a sophomore.

"I have offers from Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Mississippi State in football," said Burnett.

Jackson feels that playing football has helped Burnett on the basketball court.

"Being a football player, that gives him the carryover of mental toughness to basketball," said Jackson. "He is not worried about taking the basketball licks because they aren't like football licks. I think that helps him going to the basket."

According to Jackson, Burnett has drawn the interest of a lot of college basketball coaches.

"Everybody is calling about him," said Jackson. " I talked to (head coach) Steve Prohm at Iowa State about him. He told me he put on a show at an AAU tournament. Mississippi State is showing interest in him. (MSU assistant coach) George Brooks always does a good job recruiting our players."
