Is the confidence level still high on the team?
"The confidence is there. We have put up a lot of points and have been in a position to win games. We just haven't finished. We have to play four quarters."
Is it nice to know, despite being 0-3, you sort of have a fresh start since this is your first SEC game?
"It is. If you are 0-3 in the SEC that would be different, but we haven't even started."
It seems to have been forgotten that two of your first three games have been on the road and the only home game was against Oregon, a possible top 10 team. Now you are about to play three home games. How important will that be to this team?
"I think it is very important because it gives us confidence knowing the fans are behind us and not just have a couple of thousand fans supporting us."
Why does it take so long for the offense to get rolling because one you get rolling it's hard to stop you?
"I don't know what we can do to better that, but I know as an offense we have to put more points up early. We can't continue to try and come back late. That is something that we have to work on. It is up to us, the players, to get off to a fast start. The coaches make the calls but it's up to us to execute them."
Do you think scoring early would take some of the pressure off the defense?
"I think it would. I know the defense will eventually get it started. I'm not really worried about that. I just want to perform well on offense."
You have really come on strong this year. How much has your position coach, Guy Holliday, meant to you?
"He has been a great coach as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure the other receivers feel the same way. He is a disciplinarian. He doesn't accept anything but 100%. When you drop passes, he gets in your face and tells you that is not what we do here at Mississippi State and that is not what he believes in. He believes if it hits our hands we are supposed to catch it. That is how we approach every ball that is thrown to us."
