Talk about your interception.
"The quarterback told the play all the way. He ran that way and we were in the right coverage at the right time. We were in a zone on the play. I got a good break on the ball and he didn't really throw it like he was supposed to, so I broke on it."
Did you think you were going to get into the endzone?
"I could have but they had a good angle on me. I was going to try and cut it back but they were waiting on that, too."
You and Tommy made a couple of big plays today. Is that the defense this team needs to see more of?
"We need to do more than that. In the secondary, we still have a lot of busts, blown coverages and other things. We have to play throughout the whole game. We still haven't played a whole game in the secondary."
How much does it mean to finally get a win?
"It means a lot because this is an SEC win."
Talk about your own personal development this year.
"I missed almost all of last season and now I am starting to see things before they really happen. It took me a couple of games to get that kind of feeling."
Even though the secondary gave up a couple of touchdowns, the secondary as a whole made some plays today. Are you seeing progress?
"We made some plays today. We see the improvement, but on certain plays, and I can't really explain it, we just make the busts. We just have to get rid of the little mistakes and we will be a complete secondary. That is what we have been looking for to get it started. We just have to build on that each and every day."
How tough has it been putting up with criticism that the secondary has been under every since the first week of the season?
"It hasn't really been that tough because we try to block that out most of the time when we go to practice and when we come to play."
How good is Vanderbilt?
"They are alright. We could of....they came to play and we came to play. They are pretty good, but they made a lot of mistakes and we capitalized off of some of their mistakes. And sometimes we gave them the momentum when we didn't make the plays on defense like we should have."
Talk about the play of the defensive line's play. They probably had their best game of the season.
"They played tremendous today. That made our life easier. They put a lot of pressure on the quarterback. He really couldn't stay in the pocket like he wanted to, so that got him out of his game a little bit."
