What schools did you consider once you decided to transfer from Baylor?
"Basically, it came down to (MSU) and Arizona."

What made you choose MSU?
"It was a great fit. (MSU), coming off losing so many people to the draft, the fit was just perfect for me. Arizona lost a couple of people, but as far as the fit here, it was much better. I also didn't want to go too far away from home. As far as stepping in and playing right away, I knew that once I got myself to the university, if I worked hard, everything would fall into place."

State's basketball program seems to have a family atmosphere. Was that important to you and something you noticed when you visited?
"Yeah, when I came in here, that was the biggest change, how everybody does everything together."

Coach Stansbury told me when you came in for your official visit they were on vacation but came back to be with you. In fact, his wife drove back with her kids so she could cook a meal for you while you were on your official visit. Did you know that and if you did did it impressed you?
"Oh yeah, it definitely impressed me to know that they came off their vacation just to show me around. That was a super plus."

What did you know about the MSU program before you visited?
"I saw Timmy (Bowers) at the Olympic Trials. That was pretty much it."

Since you have been here, has Mississippi State been what you thought it would be?
"It is pretty much what I thought it would be. It has a similar background to the other university that I came from. Waco and Starkville are places where not much is going on. The transition has been ok."

Being from Texas, what do you hear out there about SEC basketball?
"We hear a lot. The SEC is a great conference. A lot of people compare the SEC and the Big 12 and say they are two of the best conferences."

What do you bring to this team?
"Basically, I am just versatile. I just get after it. My rebounding is always going to be there. As far as my offense, they want me to face up more."
