Opening Comments:

"I think everybody saw what I saw. I think at the very beginning our players and our schemes were ok, but all of a sudden you give them 3rd and 16 and don't make the tackle. That completely pops the balloon and the confidence you have. We came right back and threw the tipped ball for an interception. As fragile as this team is because of being in this situation, you can't do that and expect them to go on and on."

Q&A:

What would you say to the people who say this team has thrown in the towel?
"Emotionally, they are probably right. We have to learn how to make plays and overcome some things. There is a reason for why you don't make plays. Sometimes that comes from trying too hard and sometimes from not having any confidence that you can make them."

Is emotionally throwing in the towel worse than any way of throwing in the towel?
"There are still guys fighting. The problem is you can't blow the balloon back up. We can't put our quarterback in the situation that we are. They were rushing four people and we were giving up too much pressure."

Did you have any thoughts of playing Aries Nelson earlier?
"We did, but we still thought that we had a chance to maybe at least put some points on the board."

Were you surprised you didn't run the ball a little bit better?
"Yes. We kept missing people, especially inside. They took us out of that very quickly. When you get behind 14, 17 and 24, then you are out of it."

You put Kyle York in there late in the first half.
"He has a sore arm. In fact, he didn't practice much at all this week. If you saw the pass, he didn't have any zip on the ball when he threw it."

Talk about the offensive line's performance.
"We didn't play very well up front at all. That is a big problem that you have sometimes, especially in a game like this. You give the defensive linemen nothing to keep to them at home, so they were just going."

Talk about the play of Nick Signaigo, a player that played tight end for the first time this season.
"He played well."

Your team hasn't played well since you made the announcement that you are retiring. In hindsight, would you do it the same way that you did?
"Yes, you have to. You have to give them an opportunity to get somebody in place. You aren't looking toward today but down the road. It gives them an opportunity to have somebody jump right in here and not miss anything in recruiting."

What can you attribute to all the missed tackles?
"It comes back to confidence."

Do you think you will play Aries Nelson more during the last three games?
"I can't answer that. It all depends on what happens during those games."

Do you feel this is the lowest point in your career?
"This game, probably, yeah."

Do you wish last year had been your last year?
"No, I don't wish any of those things. I am very appreciative for the time our people have given. These young guys will have a chance to get their confidence back and win a lot of football games."
