Nick, a well-spoken and polite youngster, moved to Florida from Jamaica when he was five years old. One of the top defensive ends in the state of Florida, Nick was recently named to the All-Broward Class 6A-4A Football Team.

Isn't Mississippi State recruiting you?
"Yes sir, they are."

When did they start recruiting you?
"They've been recruiting me for a while."

Are you going to officially visit them? If so, what date?
"Yes sir, I am. I think it's the 23rd (of January), although I'm not really sure."

What is it about them that you like?
"I like a lot of things about them. I like the conference they are in. Coach Holliday told me that they have a new coach from Green Bay and that will give them a chance to start over and give some NFL experience in there."

Does it matter to you that Coach Croom has so much coaching experience in the NFL?
"Yeah, that is a big difference. It shows you that he knows what he is doing and is not just any other coach."

What does that mean to you personally?
"He will most likely know what it takes (for me) to get (to the NFL). If I have the ability to go there, he will know how to train me hard enough to get to that level."

You mentioned Coach Holliday. What are your impressions of him?
"He is a nice guy and is cool. He tells me as it is. He is not like some of the other coaches that will tell you that you can come in and start right away. He tells you that you can come in and earn a job but that it is on your shoulders to do that."

You mentioned that you will visit MSU. What other visits have you taken or will take?
"I've gone to Minnesota (12/19) and I went to Pittsburgh (11/28). I've got Ohio State next week (1/9). I also have (a visit scheduled with) Temple but I might cancel them and take it somewhere else."

TheInsiders have you listed as committed to Pittsburgh. Is that correct?
"It's a verbal commitment."

When did you commit to them?
"It was a while back."

What was it about Pittsburgh that caused you to commit to them?
"It was the first college that I visited and the first college that I had spoken to. They were the first one to really show interest in me. But after they showed interest, everybody else started coming."
